1. Who we are
Suwi (“we”, “us”) is operated by SUWI LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 17367792, registered office 107-108 Harbour Yard, London SW10 0XD. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: hello@suwi.ai
2. What we collect and why
a) Waitlist signups. When you request early access we collect your email address and your consent record (the box you tick, the date and time, and the country you signed up from). We use this to send you a welcome email and to email you about the launch of Suwi. Lawful basis: your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. When you unsubscribe we keep a suppression record of your email address so that we do not contact you again; we do not delete it, because deleting it would remove our record of your choice.
b) Piece requests. When you submit a piece for us to find, we collect what you provide: links, photographs, descriptions, sizes and your email address, so we can search for the item and send you results and availability alerts. Your photo is stored by our image host, Cloudinary, at a web address that is not listed anywhere and cannot be guessed, but that anyone holding the link could open. Your photo is sent to OpenAI and to Google Lens only to identify the item and find where to buy it. OpenAI does not use it to train its models. Google processes it under its own terms. We keep your photo for as long as your search is live and delete it on request; we are putting in place automatic deletion 90 days after a request is fulfilled or closed, and will update this policy when it is live. Please do not include people other than yourself, or anything private, in the photographs you send. Lawful basis: performance of a contract / steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
c) Technical data. Our website host collects basic technical logs (IP address, browser type) needed to serve and secure the site. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in running a secure service.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and Suwi is not directed at them.
3. Who processes your data for us
We use a small number of service providers (“processors”) who handle data only on our instructions:
Tally (Tally BV) — form collection for the waitlist and piece requests — Belgium (EU)
Make (Celonis / Make.com) — workflow automation moving form data into our systems and sending service emails — Czech Republic (EU)
Airtable Inc. — database where signups, requests and results are stored — USA
Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting — USA/EU
Microsoft (Microsoft 365) — sending our emails from hello@suwi.ai — UK/EU
Cloudinary Ltd — stores the photo you send and hosts images used in our website and emails; the stored copy is what OpenAI and Google receive — EU/USA
OpenAI — reads your photo to identify the piece, compares it with retailer listings and identifies any second garment in the outfit; does not use it to train its models — USA
Google Lens (via SerpApi) — searches the web for the piece by its picture; receives the photo and crops of it — USA
ScrapingBee — opens retailer web pages, including links you submit; does not receive your photo — France (EU)
eBay — searches eBay listings by text; does not receive your photo — USA
Where providers are outside the UK/EEA (e.g. the USA), transfers are protected by safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum. Details available on request. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Affiliate partners
When Suwi sends you links to buy pieces, those links are affiliate links. We participate in affiliate networks including Awin, CJ Affiliate, impact.com, Partnerize, Sovrn Commerce and the eBay Partner Network, and may join others. If you click a link, the network and the retailer may set cookies on their own sites to record that you came via Suwi, and we may earn a commission on your purchase at no extra cost to you. Suwi does not set any affiliate or advertising cookies on this website or in our emails. Once you leave our email or site, the network processes your data under its own privacy policy:

We do not share your name or email address with any network or retailer. See our Affiliate Disclosure and Cookie Policy.
5. How long we keep data
Waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe, or 24 months after launch communications end, whichever is sooner. Unsubscribed addresses are kept as a suppression record only.
Piece requests, including links and descriptions: 12 months after the request is fulfilled or closed, so that we can handle any follow-up. Photos: see section 2(b).
Records of consent (form, date and time, country): for as long as we hold your email address, plus 12 months.
We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: access the data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to processing; port it to another service; and withdraw consent at any time (this doesn’t affect processing already carried out). Email hello@suwi.ai and we’ll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk.
7. Security
Data is stored with the providers above, protected by encryption in transit, access controls and least-access principles. No internet service can be 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the data we hold.
8. Changes
We’ll update this policy as Suwi develops (for example, when the full service launches) and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged to waitlist subscribers by email
